In addition, the competition not only focuses on academic factors but also requires students' ability to flexibly and creatively apply the knowledge they have learned. From here, candidates can freely demonstrate soft skills such as teamwork and presentations. In particular, with the goal of helping students access modern automation equipment and technology, MECA hopes to stimulate young people's passion for scientific and technical research.

Vision of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation

Thanks to the vision and enthusiasm of Mitsubishi Electric's leaders, based on the 17 sustainable development goals (SDGs) approved by the United Nations.

Among them, the fourth goal (SDG4) is "Quality Education". More than anyone else, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation leaders realize the increasing importance of nurturing young talents. Evidence of this is the cooperation of companies, universities, research institutes and governments in scientific initiatives that are becoming very popular.

Furthermore, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation focuses on providing educational support around the world to ensure that all young people have equal educational opportunities. That is why MECA has become an annual competition held in many Mitsubishi Electric member countries, not just in Vietnam.

"Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam hopes that the competition can give opportunities to many automation students across the country to participate" - Mr. Takashi Nishikuma, General Director of Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam shared.

Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam hopes that the scale of the competition will be continuously expanded each year, so that more and more students will be exposed and familiar with modern technologies. From there, more and more students will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge they have learned into practice in a creative and proactive way.

Education about automation and sustainable solutions right from school, especially through large-scale, professional competitions, will contribute to stimulating passion, learning and initiative among young people. From here, MECA 2023 will create a foundation for a generation of young talented engineers, becoming the core for the industrialization and modernization revolution of the country.
