Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam cooperated with Tra Vinh University to organize the International Scientific Conference "Research in Science and Technology – RET2022"


With our desire to accompany in training qualified human resources to well-serve the society, recently on August 12th and 13th 2022, Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam (MEVN) had cooperated with Tra Vinh University (TVU) to organize an International Scientific Conference named "Research in Science and Technology – RET2022".

RET2022 conference is an annual activity to connect domestic and foreign scientists, providing an academic platform to exchange, discuss and share experiences as well as ideas on scientific and technical knowledge between domestic and international engineers, scientists, scholars. This is also a section to publish researching results - applications of lecturers and students coming from colleges and universities.

The main topics of this year's conference were related to the fields of Information Technology, Engineering Mechanics - Dynamics, Construction, Control and Automation, Electro-Electronics, AI Applications, and Intellectual Property. These topics were presented by scientists and scholars with many years of experience in the field of scientific research coming from United States, Taiwan, and Vietnam. Some specific topics that were presented at the conference:

  • Dr. Tang – Chieh Liu (Taiwan) – Dean of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, Feng Chia University – with the topic of “Development of the time-to-digital converter with resolution in Pico-sec by an FPGA chip”.
  • Phillip M. Adams (USA) – Professor at Tra Vinh University, specializing in "Engineering an Engineer's Patient" – with the topic of “Engineering an Engineer’s Patient”.
  • Vo Duy Nhat – Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam Co., Ltd (MEVN) – with the topic of “Comprehensive maintenance solutions for production lines”.
  • David Nghiem – Founder, Chairman of the Global Wireless Technology Corporation, USA – with the topic of "How to develop a wireless medical device".

With our role of being the sponsor for RET2022 Conference, Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam really hopes that the combination between scientific research and engineering technology application will jointly solve practical problems, then, to create a sustainable society.

Education and training are some of the key activities that Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam is implementing in order to head towards the fourth goal (SDG4) of the United Nations: “Quality Education”.

In addition to our sponsorship activities, MEVN regularly organizes creative playgrounds for young engineers in Vietnam to develop their talents, such as the MECA Cup (Mitsubishi Electric Cup Automation), the Sustainable Initiatives Contest: The pioneer in Green Building Solutions, etc.
